Dry Needling

What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a safe and effective treatment used to relieve muscle pain and stiffness. During the session, a licensed therapist uses a very thin, sterile needle to target “trigger points” (tight or knotted muscles). This helps the muscle relax, improves circulation, and decreases pain signals sent to the brain.

Many patients notice improved mobility, reduced pain, and a quicker return to their daily activities. Dry needling is different from acupuncture—it’s based on modern medical understanding of the muscles and nervous system.

We Are Certified

At Empowerize Therapy Center, dry needling is performed only by our licensed and certified physical therapist. This specialized training ensures your treatment is safe, effective, and tailored to your unique needs.

Because our therapist is an expert in anatomy, movement, and the nervous system, they know exactly how to target the right muscles and integrate dry needling into a full recovery plan. You won’t just get temporary relief—you’ll receive care that helps restore mobility, reduce pain, and keep it from coming back.

Does Insurance Cover This Service?

Coverage for dry needling varies depending on your individual insurance policy. We recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to starting treatment if you plan to use insurance. If services are not covered, you will be financially responsible for the cost of treatment. Please call our office to learn more about our self-pay rate.
