Malia is the Clinical Coordinator at Empowering Therapy Center, where she brings a deep commitment to equity, compassion, and community care. With a background in community outreach and public health, Malia has spent her time working with nonprofit organizations in Detroit focused on improving public health outcomes and addressing systemic barriers to care. The last two years she has worked as a clinical administrator for a PT, OT, ST private clinic helping the neurodivergent community members in southeast Michigan. Her experience on the ground has shaped her understanding of the unique needs within diverse communities and strengthened her passion for bringing equitable treatment to all. Malia is highly skilled in coordinating care across teams and systems, ensuring that individuals receive comprehensive, person-centered support. Known for her collaborative spirit and strong sense of community, she plays a key role in fostering a welcoming environment where clients and clinicians alike can thrive.
In her free time, Malia enjoys crafting, painting, and exploring new destinations. She shares her home with two beloved dogs—a yorkie-poo named Buddy and an aussie-doodle named Lucy. One of her favorite getaways is Mackinac Island, which she visits at least twice each year.
